Newt - Cancer Survivor

Diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma in January 2005, Newt underwent radiation and chemo therapy. Six months later, he was in remission. Here in Washington State we have one of three national facilities available for radiation treatment of animals.

After 17-1/2 months, a new tumor grew behind Newt's left eye and did not respond to treatment. On August 2, 2006 Newt took a last boat ride, made a visit to his favorite park, and a final trip to the vet where he was euthanized.
